Ten years after Peter Jackson did what many thought was impossible, bring J.R.R Tolkien’s legendary epic to life, the man brings us back to Middle Earth with a book from the author that is just as revered. Late Tuesday night the first trailer for “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”, the first of two films to come out in consecutive Decembers, hit the web, and from what I saw, I’m excited. This isn’t the same type of film that “Lord of the Rings” trilogy was, not a war where it is good vs. the ultimate evil, it is much more focused on Bilbo Baggins as a character, and I think the trailer shows that. And while there are familiar faces coming back, familiar computer generated faces amongst them, this is going to be a whole new type of adventure in Middle Earth.
